Journey of the Little Tern

'Journey of the Little Tern' documentary will be broadcast on LMFM (95.8fm) on Mon 25th October 2010 after the 1pm news.

Eilis Sheehy of LMFM recorded this hour long documentary over the summer of 2010 at Baltray and Kilcoole.  This involved several visits to our project at Baltray and the documentary will feature some of the volunteers, and will compare the projects at Baltray and Kilcoole.

Tune in on Monday!

Cage Appeal.
If anyone in the Drogheda area has a cage that they no longer use, Maurice can put it to good use, he looks after injured raptors and needs some cages to house them, bird cages or animal cages will do the job.  If you have a cage to give away, you can contact Maurice at 086 8696597.

There are still plenty of terns at Baltray but doubtless some of our own Little Terns have moved on with their young.  The Kestrel with one leg has not been seen for a few days and Maurice is concerned for her safety.  Two Kestrels were found dead in the Beaulieu area a short time back, could they be her parents???

Here are some photos taken by Matt Byrne, enjoy.
