Journey of the Little Tern

'Journey of the Little Tern' documentary will be broadcast on LMFM (95.8fm) on Mon 25th October 2010 after the 1pm news.

Eilis Sheehy of LMFM recorded this hour long documentary over the summer of 2010 at Baltray and Kilcoole. This involved several visits to our project at Baltray and the documentary will feature some of the volunteers, and will compare the projects at Baltray and Kilcoole.

Cage Appeal.
If anyone in the Drogheda area has a cage that they no longer use, Maurice can put it to good use, he looks after injured raptors and needs some cages to house them, bird cages or animal cages will do the job. If you have a cage to give away, you can contact Maurice at 086 8696597.

Fence Dismantling

All our Little Terns have now fledged and the end of figure is 96 fledged chicks!

We plan to take down the fence on Saturday the 28th August. If the weather permits we will also have an end of project BBQ that same day. We would like to have as many people there to both help us dismantle the fencing and also to help us celebrate the end of another successful year. This is a great opportunity to meet other volunteers and to bring your partner and have a chat. Please bring your own food and beverage. Peter Phillips will organise the BBQ as usual, thank you Peter.
